Southwest Series: Manjimup

No, really, its a real place!

About another hour west of Walpole, really warm and humid! Well, back in the days where I thought the 30's were beyond ridiculous. That's was before I was introduced to the mid 40's!

Anyways, like a lot of the places before, there's not much going on here, its mainly a working town, lots of backpackers go to do fruit picking. However, as you may have noticed, me and my Scottish freckles don't do well with the heat, so working outside wouldn't go well!

What I did find however, was The Timber and Heritage Park, with lots of history about the kind of work that used to happen in Manjimup, and still does! It also made for pleasant wandering, So, once again, follow the photos. . .

Even though I know he doesn't read it, Andy, the train ones are for you!

And I absolutely did not pretend to be a train driver!

Reeeeeeaaaaaaalllllllyyyyyyy loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggg tttrrrreeeeeeeeeeeessssssss

Southwest Series: Walpole

Hello

Number 3 in the 'Series'. Only 2 more left until It'll just be the plain old blog again! Again, mainly pictorial, but that's what you all come here for, right (and you all I mean the 7 people that actually cast a glance this way from time to time. Thank you all! Magnificent, One might say. . . )

Anyways, Walpole, about 45 mins West from Denmark, home to the The Very famous Vally of the Giants treetop walk!. However, there are no photo's here. Oh no. The reason being that the walkway isn't actually in walking distance from the town, you need a car to get there, Irony of Ironies!

However, there is a nice little bush/lakeside walk that leads to the beach, and, the pictures will show you the way. . .

Now, Just in case you were wondering, I absolutely did not step on the bottom-left hand side plank, have it spring towards me, almost hitting my face, then causing me to almost fall into the lake to avoid face collision . . .
Just in case you were wondering!

Arrival! However due to the amount of flies that followed me along the entire walk (about an Hour and a Half) I was a wee bit annoyed, so sat, admired, then hid in the toilets just for some respite. Honestly though, if you haven't been here, you can't judge! But, overall, very nice, windy, so almost crashy waves. . .almost

Southwest Series: Denmark

Just a mini post really, I didn't realise that I didn't really take a lot of pictures here, I must have been too busy soaking up the atmosphere. An hour west of Albany, Denmark is the most peaceful place I've come across yet, very green (yes, they have green here!) , riverside, and very quiet, plus I even have photographic evidence that it does rain here!

It really had the most peaceful atmosphere, I don't know if it was the green, the river, the quiet or the fact it was raining (even though it was hot too!) but it was a lovely place to spend a few days.
